Iran desalination plant in the Strait of Hormuz out of service following strikes

Images posted on social media on March 31 have captured a huge #explosion in the Iranian city of #Isfahan. A local security official said strikes had targeted military locations in the city, according to Iran’s Fars agency. Isfahan is home to a #nuclear enrichment site.

Four years on from the Bucha massacre, the Ukrainian town is remembering its dead. Russian military forces retreated from Bucha in 2022, hundreds of bodies were discovered, including women, children and elderly people, many of the corpses had been left lying in the streets. A delegation of EU foreign ministers arrived in Kyiv on March 31 to mark the anniversary and discuss ways to further support Ukraine.

The Gulf and Israel are pursuing rival strategies toward Iran, but neither is likely to get what they want.
