Lost film by French cinema pioneer Georges Méliès retrieved from US attic

"Gugusse and the Automaton", a short silent film made by French cinema pioneer Georges Méliès back in 1897, was lost to history until it was found in a trove of film reels donated to the US Library of Congress. The precious celluloid belonged to a potato farmer who showed silent movies to audiences in rural Pennsylvania at the turn of the 20th century.
